23% and higher solar panels for sale

Hello. I would like to keep this thread going with news about new solar panels for sale to customers in the USA.

Late February, Intersolar Show in San Diego, CA was held. There are several youtube videos posted. Among these, one in particular showed new solar panels all claiming to have an efficiency of 23.0 or higher, even like 23.5% The content creator said that 23% was the new normal for panels. If true, that's great news.
I think among them was Jinko solar.

So if you have seen 23% and higher panels for sale anywhere, can you please tell us who, what and where?

Thanks.
i hear Aiko have 24% efficiency panels. i'm not sure if it is sold in the US

my 16x astronergy n5 585W bifacials are 22.8%,
mounted on a white roof gets me 21.7Kw on a rainy, very cloudy day
nothing special, it's the cheapest per watt at that time

For small scale use, i don't think efficiency should be a deciding factor in purchasing.
From what i read online,
Panel efficiency has nothing to do with panel performance
It's about the size
Take a theoretical 600w panel as an example

600w panel with 20% efficiency
has the same performance as a
600w panel with 25% efficiency

600w panel with 20% efficiency
will be of a bigger footprint (worse watt per area) / bigger size overall than a
600w panel with 25% efficiency
Totally agree. People dont understand/take the efficiency rating out of context.

A 400w panel will always be a 400w panel, no mater what its efficiency rating is, they are all rated under the same set of conditions, amount of light, temperature, etc. They are all rated under the assumption/condition of w/m2, meaning the sun hits the earth with watts of power per square meter, under the right circumstances, and this is how panels are rated when they are manufactured.

The efficiency just means how much of that power the panel can harvest, in a given area. If a panel was rated at w, and its dimensions were 1m x 1m, then it would be 100% efficient. If a panel was rated at w, but its dimension was 1m x 2m, (2 square meters) then its efficiency would be 50%. Each panel produces watts of power, one just does it in half the space, making it more "efficient".

For most residential/offgrid solar, the "efficiency" of the panel is not really that important, you just size the system to meet your needs. If you need 20kw of PV to meet your needs, then its not gona make much difference if your looking at 20% vs 23% efficient panels, maybe 1-2m2 of space difference. Price per watt can make a HUGE difference to someone looking at buying solar thou. If the 3% more efficient panel costs twice as much, just to end up saving 1sq meter of your roof space, but it still produces the same amount of power as the less efficient panel, do you really care???

Where the efficiency could make a big difference is if your talking about something where space is very valuable/limited. Like the roof of a camper van, you only have so much area to put panels on, so more efficient panels mean you can maximize your power output for that very limited space.

Also things like solar farms, where you are talking about THOUSANDS of panels, with higher efficiency, you can either use less space, and make the same power, or use the same space, and make more power. Nice discussion. I am going to replace my existing ground mount panels. They are 12 years old and 10 years old. They work fine, but for the same physical amount space, I can increase my power output by up to 50%, and more importantly cut my power losses due to summertime heat and obtain shade protection, as I have a utility pole that casts a shadow too and the new panels are much more shade tolerant. I am concerned then with the physical size of the panel (it has to fit on the mount), then the heat tolerance and shade tolerance characteristics. A higher efficiency panel will produce more power in the same footprint than a lower efficiency panel.
I am well aware of all the discussions on getting a panel that is a -2-24 versions for a lot less cost than a high efficiency panel. But I am looking to do this only once more in my lifetime and looking to the future. If I was building out a new system and had the ability to build out my mounts for any panel size and number, then that would be different, but I do not.
