The Refuse and Recycling Division facilitates refuse, recycling, and yard waste collection through its contracted partner, Tringali Sanitation. Our organization provides weekly services to over 35,000 residents across various living establishments, including single-family homes, condominiums, apartments, mobile homes, duplexes, and small commercial businesses.

Curbside Yard Waste Collection:

We are recognized as the leading supplier of Concrete Recycling Plant solutions. Our comprehensive service offerings ensure you receive everything you need, supported by our highly specialized staff who are eager to assist you in locating the right products.

Yard waste collection will conclude the week of December 9th on your regular collection day. Commencing December 16th, residents of Troy will be allowed to drop off up to 10 bags of yard waste at SOCRRA free of charge until curbside service resumes in April.

New Cardboard Drop-off Locations Available:

Starting Monday, December 9th, Troy residents can recycle surplus cardboard at no cost and without the need for an appointment at:

• Boulan Park, Crooks Road (available 12/9/24 - end of January)
• Firefighters Park, W. Square Lake Road (available 12/9/24 - end of January)
• Raintree Park, John R (available 12/9/24 - end of January)
• Department of Public Works, Rochester Road (available year-round, other materials not accepted)

Dumpsters will be situated in the parking lots at the specified locations and will be serviced as needed. Residents are requested to flatten cardboard boxes as much as possible and to dispose of cardboard only; refuse and other materials will not be accepted. Troy residents may also continue to recycle cardboard at SOCRRA (appointment required). For queries, please contact the Department of Public Works at 248.524.
