Being issued a new prescription can mean that you may experience some differences with your vision. Your new prescription can change in various ways, resulting in different experiences.
Depending upon what you use your glasses for, will depend upon your experience and the advice you should take.
If your prescription has changed in the part where is says "SPH" or "Sphere", then you can sometimes expect to feel objects feeling closer or further away, depending upon whether you have a + or - prescription.
If your prescription has changed in the "CYL" or "Cylinder", then sometimes you can experience straight edges of door frames, work tops or screens, to have a slight curvature to them.

Cleaning cloth
Make sure that your cleaning cloth is actually clean. So many people will use the same cloth for months and months without replacing or cleaning it. The cloth will pick up dirt and oils when being used, this then gets wiped back on to your lenses. Our cleaning cloths can easily be hand washed in warm, soapy water. Or, if you need a new one, simply ask a member of the team.
Lens cleaner
Use our great quality lens cleaner that we supply along with your cleaning cloth. This cleaner is designed to help reduce smearing whilst cleaning the lens surface. Correct adjustments
Incorrectly fitted eyewear can cause problem as the lenses or frame may be touching your skin. This is mostly noticeable where the frames may touch your cheeks, brow or bridge of your nose. The natural oil from our skin, along with facial products, such as face creams, can easily deposit onto your frames and lenses. This also then means that the oil and skin products then build up in the grooves around the lens, meaning that when you are cleaning your lenses, you are simply moving these deposits from one part of the lens to another. Quite often we see clients that wish to have their lenses cleaned, but in actual fact, it is the lens coatings that are breaking down which is creating blurred vision or poor visual clarity. All coatings have an expected life span, but if your coatings are deteriorating, there is very little that can be done, other than to replace the lenses.
